It is a tiny place but the food here is exceptional! We tried the idicha chicken starter, tawa grilled fish, ichicha chicken... curry, idiyappam and parota. The spices and flavors were extremely impressive and authentic. The idicha chicken starter was myabsolute favorite! The staff was very friendly and polite. They have a self service policy. *Love the food! Love the service!!* We had ordered catered meal for 125 people for lunch from Annachi Kadai (non-veg) and Star... Udipi Cafe (veg) for an event at my house. Every food item was delicious -- the flavors, the taste, the colors were all soinviting! people came back for seconds and thirds. We had food left over at the lunch because we had ordered a bit more to be onthe safer side. But the food was so popular -- our guests packed the remaining food in small containers and took it home fortheir dinner! =) The food was delivered sharp at 12 noon, like we requested. Actually they came 10 mins early and waited for us-- we were the ones running late. All the hot food items was piping hot and freshly made. The management worked with us tofigure out the menu that would suit our guest profile and the right quantity of food to order with an aim to reduce food wasteand keep costs within budget. The staff was attentive to our needs to our special instructions. They're awesome to work with,professional, polite and courteous! There are very few places where you get Parotta and Annachikadai is one of them. I tried Parota with chicken curry combo and... idicha chicken kuzhambu(boneless). Portions are pretty decent and they taste perfect. Idicha chicken kuzhambu is a pepperbased chicken gravy curry and It tastes yum with Parotta. I am not sure if by default they give very less chicken pieces in it.I think i hardly got 5 pieces in the entire kuzhambu :) would have been much better if the gravy and chicken quantity arebalanced.
