My review is based on the service and not food. Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. My family lives 90 mins away and we... were planning our first visit to Muncie. My toddler and I are gluten-free and we picked Sitara a few days in advance because ofall the GF options clearly marked on their menu. Google states the restaurant closes for lunch at 2:30p. I knew our schedulewould be tight, so I called the day before to confirm their hours. I explained our situation and the person on the phone (at 6pmon Wednesday) said their lunch on Thursday (the next day) would be served until 3pm. Today we arrived at 2:15pm and we weretold we couldn?t be served because they closed at 2:30pm. Manager/Server said, ?Sorry, we?re shutting down.? I told him that Icalled just 20 hours ago and was told they served lunch until 3pm. Not to mention, it was only 2:15pm, and they technicallyshould have still be seating people. He condescendingly asked, ?Are you sure you didn?t call a different restaurant?? I thenconfirmed from my outgoing calls last night that we called Sitara. But our real issue was that they wouldn?t seat us at 2:15pmwhen they?re open until 2:30pm When would they have seated us? If we had arrived by 2:05pm? 2:00pm? My advice would be for therestaurant to adjust their lunch hours to end at 2pm if they?re not going to seat people at 2:15pm. Read more

Gave me food poisoning. I had extremely bad diarrhea for two days. It was expensive and wasn?t even that flavorful. we got two... different types of chicken and a side of samosas which only comes with 2 & it was $45! barely fed two people. ridiculous. firsttime trying indian food & prolly won?t ever again. The restaurant is nice, with a clean interior, clean restrooms, and otherwise maintains itself well. It is rather scenic and has... a nice theme. However, the food is fairly inauthentic and bland in flavor. The spiciness of the food is definitely American. Thecurry is rather watery (still decent to an American palate), the naan is too thick and not airy & crispy like it's supposed tobe. They use the same blend of spices for almost everything; expect almost everything to taste similar. The wait for the food isextremely long. The tandoori foods, I will say, look great. The food is overall decent, but not worth the price. Read more

I've never really had Indian food, so I'm glad I got to try it here! The momo dumplings were absolutely delicious, probably some... of the best dumplings I've ever had. The bread and curry we got was also amazing. I highly recommend! We will be coming back! Read more
