It was one of the decent restaurants in Myrtle beach. The food was good. The oyster serving was delayed, and the size was a bit... disappointing. We used the digital payment offered at the table, but when we left the restaurant, the server stopped us to clearif we had paid, which was a bit embarrassing. I would use traditional payment options if I go again. Read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant. We had Oysters Rockafeller, Grouper Sandwich, Lobster sandwich , and Brussel Sprouts. Try... the corn dish it's a little spicy and interesting the way it is served. See pic. All In all I really recommend this place. Read more
I?m on my way home from 1229 Shine right now, and when I tell you? everything was PHENOMENAL. The Bang Bang Grouper bites will... go down in history as the best food I?ve ever had. Max was our server, and he had such a mellow personality, was easy to getalong with, and made the experience even better. The prices were amazing for the quality of the food, and not high at all!! Love 1229 Shine! We went twice while visiting Myrtle Beach and had great experience both times. I especially recommend the... fried calamari, big O's that were tender and juicy with cilantro Thai chili sauce and an red marinara sauce. The coconut shrimpare also amazing and come with the same Thai chili sauce. The pineapple basil mojito was a refreshing cocktail as was the frozenscrewdriver! I don't recommend the Lobster slider appetizer as it's a small slider and you only get one for a hefty $16. Everything else was a good value for the price. Atmosphere is great too!
