You'll absolutely LOVE this restaurant! They have been in business for "50" years! They truly appreciate your business and they... tell you so. They are quick to come to your table to wait on you. They have so many things to choose from but you have to watchordering appetizers, not because they aren't good because they are delicious but by the time you get your food, you'll do goodto eat your main meal. No joke, you'll leave there stuffed! But don't worry, they have a lovely variety of yummy desserts andyou can order that to go! Haha. We visit there every year on vacation. Read more
We had reservations as they opened at 4:30, party of two. Walked in, promptly seated to window seat overlooking the lake.... Sharon promptly came over and greeted us, got drink orders; brought back a basket full of hush puppies and two cinnamon rolls -no need for an appetizer- then got entree orders of the Chesapeake fish, salad and sides including the fish stew - all was freshand to order. We heard about the early bird menu here and we were not disappointed. When we arrived we asked for a window view so we can watch... the wildlife. It added to the atmosphere of a seaside seafood restaurant experience. A lot of delicious food for a great price.The service was fast, efficient and very friendly. The hush puppies and cinnamon buns were so good. You can buy the hush puppymix at the front cash to take home and make. The famous fish stew was small and tasty for an extra $1. We ordered the seafoodplatter and it was excellent. We also tried the deep fried oysters. So much food. I would definitely go back. Read more
Very good! Wonderful setting and ambiance. We were lucky to get a table right on the water without any reservation made ahead of... time. They obviously know what they are doing, having been in business for over 50 years. The seafood stew is good but lackedany sizeable pieces of fish. It was entirely small shreds of fish. Vegetable sides were overcooked (lima beans and asparagus)But the seafood is the main event here and it is fresh and perfectly prepared.
