So hadn?t been in a long time. But remembered the whole belly clams. Excitedly ordered and anticipated the crisp taste of sweet... whole belly?s only to have a soggy clump of what looked like whole bellies. 32 bucks as I also added as what I hoped would becrispy tasty rings that were also a clump of oily soggy something that perhaps at one time had the potential I had once tastedthere. I haven't been here in many years, but the quality and service is top notch! The scallops were delicious, not greasy.
Clean place with outdoor seating. I saw someone come out and spray down and clean off the picnic tables twice while we were... there. Fried seafood delights and chowder was also very good. Not a cheep eats but not cheep food either. High quality freshseafood as you would expect being so close to the ocean. Read more

Eight long years have passed since I have been to this establishment. It was the day before I moved out of the miserable state... of Connecticut forever that I last visited. Unfortunately, I drove 50 miles down to Mystic to find out that my favorite seafoodrestaurant in the world had run out of nearly all its seafood. But most importantly it had run out of fish! For fish andchips!!! Now I?m not saying that I took the news well that day and the story of my great disappointment has been exaggeratedgreatly by my family since my visit, but I will say. Whatever dissatisfaction I showed has been magnified by the fact that Ihave not found another place in all my travels that satisfies my fish and chips craving like this establishment had for years. Igave a four star review for my memories and the one star off is a tear drop mourning the loss of Sea Swirl from my life thesepast eight long years? If I ever pass through this terrible state again, I will surely visit this oasis. I will also call andconfirm they will be properly provisioned for my visit. If the owner ever chose to open a restaurant in SC I?ll be thereinstantly like a fly on the wall. ;) Read more
