Barkeeps is a hidden gem! I frequent Palm Beach gourmet restaurants and Chef Siva?s food and elegant presentation rivals many of... those! The atmosphere in Barkeeps is very basic and simple, which makes the excellent food even more of a surprise! I?ve read afew reviews about the service not being the greatest - this is a small rural college town, with most employees working hard toput themselves through school. The prices are low, so please take that all into account before criticizing the service. Theyare the nicest people around. If you haven?t tried Barkeeps, you must! Get the salmon and fried rice! We loved it! The kids loved it! My 9 year old keeps asking to go back. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant!... Definitely coming back. Normally when I come here (which is about maybe once every few months) I have a pleasant experience. Tonight was not what I... normally experience here. The customer service was okay but I ordered what I always order, the keeps burger no special saucepepperjack cheese no veggies with fries. I have never received a burger from this establishment where it was pink in the middle.The bun was so soggy on the bottom as well. I didn't even get upset about that. I simply asked the waitress if I could have atoasted bottom bun and she took it to the back and I got a new bottom bun (not toasted) but it was okay. Then I took a bite ifmy burger and it was good. The next bite I saw pink so then I broke the burger in half and it was completely pink! I was verydissatisfied tonight. The guy didn't charge me for my food because let's face it, I never got to eat! Came here upon Google's suggestion for Asian food. However, I didn't realize that this Asian fusion. My husband and I both... ordered pork ramen. It's more like a BBQ pork soup with noodles and veggies. Tasted good, just wasn't what I was hoping for. Theegg included in the ramen wasn't cooked through.
