Was excited to eat here again after several amazing visits last year, and they never disappoint!! Tried their salmon special,... bouillabaisse, and tuna, and all 3 were incredible! Their drink selection is great as well, and service is perfect. One of myfavorite places to eat here, if not my favorite. Definitely stop in if you want some great seafood! Read more

The Wife and I have been coming in here since it was very small back in 2010. Always had a good meal. We missed it the past 2... COVID years. It was quite different this time in regards to the actual quality of the meal as compared to years past. It's notas clean as it once was and there were multiple flies at our table by the dirty window. The staff are well trained andattentive. The scallops were excellent while the seaweed bedding was too tough to consume. The wife's shrimp and grits (herfavorite seafood meal) were bland with an excessive amount of liquid. My Sandbar special fish portions were very good. Theoysters were over breaded and overcooked and served on a huge mound of fries. At over $100 w/tip it was expensive for what wegot. We will give the Blue Moon a pass next time and try some other places that we haven't already ruled out. *Note this reviewwas completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish,to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copyof check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if theylook like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don'tcare about your allergies or the need for gluten free food. Read more

We went here 5+ years ago and had a wonderful experience, today we went for a late lunch and had another great meal. This is a... specific spot that we stop each time we go to Outer Banks and I recommend it highly to anyone passing through. I again had theoysters and April had the crab cake, both were delicious and paired with excellent french fries. You are missing out if youenjoy seafood but skip this place, seriously. Read more

We visited Blue Moon as a last minute decision on our final night in the Outer Banks. The food was delicious and there are a... decent number of local beers on tap as well as unique cocktails to try. I would recommend arriving a little before the dinnerhour to get a table, as we were able to beat the crowd by coming at 5. There is quite a bit of seating inside and outside but itdoes fill up quickly. Service was great and the food was delicious. I highly recommend trying the Buffalo shrimp, which was adelicious twist on a classic wing appetizer. The fish tacos are pretty good, although they could have used a bit more seasoning. Read more

"Food worth eating is worth waiting for" is a sign painted on the window of this restaurant, and indeed it is worth the wait to... dine here. We arrived at 1:30 pm on a Monday and had a 1 hr wait which was spent exploring neighboring boutiques and sitting inoutdoor seating offered by the restaurant. Plenty of parking was available. Service was pleasant, and they were able toaccommodate our large party of 10 people. It took a while for food to come after ordering, but it all was super yummy and hugeportions. Shrimp and oysters are huge. Appetizers are definitely sharable sized. Roasted brussel sprouts are amazingly good. Iwould highly suggest inquiring about pricing on MP listed menu items so you aren't surprised by the bill. A crab cake entreewas $38.00,m; most other menu items were not nearly as expensive.
