This is my first time trying Mariscos el Viejon, being in Idaho I was hesitant to try the seafood, I am so glad I did, the taste... is super fresh and authentic! The octopus was cooked perfectly which is rare to find! I will definitely come back to try more oftheir dishes! I wish they took orders over the phone since I had to wait 40 min for my take out order, it was totally worth it!If you are a seafood lover, I would definitely recommend trying them! Read more

The food was so good! Loved the chips and beans. Casual restaurant with delicious food. There is a lot of seafood on the menu... along with burritos, tacos and other items with beef or chicken. Prices are average with the wet burrito around $10, asada tacos$3. Will definitely go back Read more

Authentic Mexican food but the service sucked. We waited over 40 minutes for our food and once it arrived ,it arrived in... segments because items weren't ready. We had to ask for utensils and water repeatedly. Our water cup remained empty at one pointfor 20 minutes while our waitress flirted with the table of young men in front of us. Our waitress obviously had a table full ofinebriated men interested in her and she gobbled up the attention and forgot about everyone else. When asked, our waitressstated that the restaurant had ran out of beans yet another waitress brought over chips, beans and salsa which ours neglected do.I ordered an appetizer but never received it yet It was added on my bill. I ordered chicken quesadilla for my son but we onlygot cheese quesadillas. The food that we did receive was tasty with the exception of their watery salsa. The music wasexceptionally loud but you can tell by the patrons that this was a "true" Mexican restaurant. We probably should have tried thisplace on a weekday afternoon or ordered takeout. My husband and I took most of our food home simply because we were waiting toolong. At the conclusion of our meal, we asked for the check and our waitress came over to bring another round of Corona to hersuiters and when I asked about my bill, she stated that she misplaced it. She frantically started looking for it and found mycard along with the receipt behind the bar. Wow, she was a space case! I think we just got the worse person there because othersseemed more on the ball. Moral of the story, good food not so good service. Try it for yourself. Read more

Asked for aguachiles and did not expect to be served this abomination. Not enough lime was added to cook the shrimp, why they... added large pieces of tomatoes? Idk. From someone who knows authentic Mexican food, this is definitely not it. Never dining hereagain. Read more
