We booked our wedding cake through hearthstone bakery and they were amazing to deal with, communication and creativity was... perfect ! They also went to turleys themselves to pickup the floral for the wedding cake and went above and beyond and broughtmy vision to life over the phone ! The cake was beautiful and delicious! I?ve given Hearthstone many opportunities in the last few years as it?s not far from my home. Unfortunately I?ve been... disappointed with almost everything I?ve tried except for the croissants (which at 4.50 I find too expensive to purchase often).I?ve ordered a birthday cake, had their muffins, cupcakes, danishes, brownies and yesterday I got a cinnamon bun from them whichis what made me write this review. It was terrible. Overcooked, so much dough ratio to icing. I don?t think I?ve ever had acinnamon bun with such little icing, it?s like they just skimmed the top. People like icing, it?s one of the best parts of acinnamon roll. I?m done trying things in hopes I will like something. I?ve given it a more than fair chance. The cinnamon rollwas the final straw! Okay! Twice now they have made super cute, super delicious cakes for my kids birthdays! I am a huge fan! Worth the drive for... their tasty and artsy cakes! Order ahead of time (as in months) - they book up fast! Cake prices are comparable to that of highend cakes in a big City. Worth every dollar. I know some people may think it is up there in cost - but as the old saying goes -you get what you pay for. They sure add that little extra to any event! Take a chance - you won't regret it!
