I'm not really into the pub scene but this was a fundraiser. Since this post I've become a regular for the Sunday Blues Jam. I... highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys live music, appreciates good food, and friendly service. The Queen's is the place,you want to be! Oh yes and the dance floor is open again???? They've also added an Asian chicken burger to their menu and it isdelicious! Last night the legendary Jim Byrnes did a fabulous show! In my opinion he is the epitome of a genuine, humble,brilliant, sole. He gave the frontman James Vickers (of the opening act) props 'three Times's during his show. If you like live music the Queen's is one of the best places around for it. They continually bring in local talent like 80's... tribute band Boneshaker, and host the Sunday Blues jam. They will also bring touring acts intermittently to regular sell outcrowds. If you like live music and dancing, it really is one of the best around. Read more
Perfect live venue. Food was amazing, drinks were cold, and staff was attentive. Never left here not having had a great time!

The layout and the atmosphere are nice, the stage and sound system are great but if I'm honest the shows and events hosted there... are pricey. (ie. New Year's and Halloween cover are way more expensive than anywhere else in town). Real small patio too, butit's also a Nanaimo classic and it's worth a visit, if for nothing other than a good photo op and a pint. Read more
