This place is a hidden gem, located in the back end of the Nanoose community center. They sell all take and bake pies with loads... of options.. even lasagna! I had the Tortiere and the spices were excellent, the pie crust was flaky and had good flavor. Ican't believe their aren't many reviews about those butter tarts! Fewf they are real butter tarts and the pie dough is what setsthem off. Well the dough and the filling... just delish. Go get some! I will be visiting to try more flavors! Read more
Great flaky, homemade pies! Found this place on Google Maps and decided to grab our lunch for the ferry here. Called ahead and... was able to pick up our roast chicken, cheese and sausage and apple pies within 45 min, heated up and boxed for our commute.When you get there, you?ll see it?s just a big community kitchen with all the raw ingredients for making pie. Taste could havebeen a bit stronger (more salt / sugar) but I?m sure it?s healthier than the store bought kind. Friendly, efficient service.Highly recommend! Read more
We bought home a roasted chicken pot pie. This was unlike any chicken pot pie I have ever tasted. The pie was top heavy with... pastry that never browned. There was no cream used in the sauce, just broth and too much broth. This rendered the bottom pastrytotally soggy. Only carrots and onions. Not something I would recommend. Read more
Just go! Stumbled on this place on a visit. So so good. We purchased the fruit pies and they were some of the best we have... ever had, even better than my own homemade. The crust was light and flakey, the filling full of flavour. Would buy again in aheartbeat. Read more
