We visited The Overlook restaurant for a family birthday dinner. While the atmosphere was great - plenty of space between... tables and lots of room, gorgeous views - the experience left much to be desired. The service was extremely slow - everythingfrom getting our drinks (non-alcoholic), refills, appetizers, and dinners. We left right after eating, and we were still therefor 2.5 hours. And even more disappointing was even with that wait, the food was lukewarm at best. Meals did not arrive withthe correct items ordered as sides and toppings, and while our waitress was correct in stating that "it wasn't her fault" whenwe complained (the only thing she said), better customer service would have been bringing a manager out to address our concernsor at least offering a sincere apology. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but this experience was so disappointing thatwe won't be back. Read more
After hearing adds on 101.7 throughout the week; my wife and I stopped Sunday evening expecting a great experience. We were... there literally 20 minutes. Not a single person greeted us. After 15 mins a group of golfers saw us and said for us to just goin. We didn?t see any staff in the restaurant. Even with patrons sitting at the bar. This was my first time in the restaurant. The food was good, views nice of the area, and I thought the pricing was fair. My only... concern is that we sat ourselves in the lower area that was away from everyone else and at times we felt a bit like we wereforgotten with drinks or being checked on. Such a pretty view!! The food was delicious and service was great. We had the BBQ meatloaf sandwich which was sooo good!

I have tried to eat here for the last time! I have been turned away twice now; tonight bc we didn?t have reservations (doesn?t... say anywhere in their advertising, reservations are required or even suggested), the time before I took a friend there and wewere turned away bc they didn?t have enough staff to serve us during the hours they advertised as being open. This is all aftergiving the benefit of the doubt and giving them another try after Covid and experiencing, unannounced closings and poor serviceif you got in to dine. Tonight this was at 6pm with plenty of open tables, not right before closing! What happened to beingplaced on a waitlist! I live 7 miles away and would not recommend this establishment to anyone!
