Goooood, down home food. The pecan pie was to DIE for. Amazing brisket, and cat fish had an awesome and different spice to it.... Mac & cheese was best we had on our trip, and squash was delicious. Check the menu before going because every day has differentoptions for lunch. We expected crazy lines after reading a lot of blog posts about this place, but we went on a Wednesdaymorning at 11:45am and didn?t hit any line at all. Read more
The staff was super friendly. The food was delicious. There was no wait. The place was very clean. It's great to be able to see... the options as you choose. They took the time to ask us what we liked and make recommendations and then checked on us after wesat down. This place is an absolute must for BBQ in Nashville. The brussel sprouts were stupendous. We also got brisket, pulledpork, ribs, grits, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, Mac and cheese, collard greens, and banana pudding. Everything was excellentand I will certainly go back when I come back to visit Nashville. The owner went out of his way to make us feel comfortable andgreeted us with a smile. Come hungry leave satisfied should be there motto. Everything was stupendous ordered the catfish with Mac and cheese,... jalapeños cheese grits and white beans and 2 ho cakes. The Mrs. Ordered 1/2 BBQ flash fried with Alabama white sauce and Macand cheese w/mashed potatoes and turnip greens. Definitely worth every dollar and the owner khalil interacts with every one. This place is worth every penny. I was apprehensive seeing the cafeteria style ordering. But I was wrong to judge. The staff is... super friendly. They told us which sides they liked. We got a mix and loved it all. Not sure if you can go wrong here. Read more
