I can't often afford to stay at really nice hotels like this, but my group & I splurged for this trip and I'm so glad we did!... Totally worth it. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. They even left a bottle ofchampagne and treats in our room when we checked in. The Cafe has really great food and coffee, and the bar is such a neatatmosphere, with really good drinks. The location is really great too. If you're thinking of splurging on a hotel, do this one.We had an amazing stay and I think this might be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Highly recommend. Read more
Stayed here with some friends overnight and we had a marvelous time. The entire staff was amazing and very welcoming and... helpful. I have never really stayed anywhere this nice and it was an experience I will not soon forget. The bedroom decor wasbeautiful and the beds and pillows were remarkably comfortable. I loved how clean and modern everything was. The view from therooftop is breathtaking! I could have stayed up there all night. We did not dine at the restaurant but it was a very beautifulspace. We did go to the bar in the basement area and the drinks and tater tots were above reproach! I highly recommend theirespresso martini. It's in walking distance to the metro and also to Chinatown and the area around the hotel feltsafe. Overall, I would definitely stay again next time I'm in DC and would reccommend this hotel to anyone. Read more
Fantastic hotel. The bed was comfortable and they have a decent gym and 2 bars. The cafe has excellent food as well. Location is... sublime. Metro station just 50 meters away. I had a minor issue in the room (the AC worked very well but didn’t make the roomas cold as desired) and they handled the issue very professionally. Service is top notch. I strongly recommend it. Gorgeous hotel with such fun history of being an old bank for the 1800's. We had a deluxe room and while small it was... beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The downstairs speakeasy was so cool with the old vault door outside. We only hada quick minute for one drink but would be a great spot for a date or late night. Tons of interesting drinks and apps. The staffwas incredible. So friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the Cafe was amazing too. Definitely worth booking. Totally worththe price. Read more

Our 3 day stay at the Riggs was top-notch and wonderful. Note that I own and operate 11 upscale boutique short term rentals so I... always look for the best when traveling. The Riggs far exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is a gem- upscale, welldecorated, and has an interesting historical background, site of the Riggs Bank. Our corner room was comfy and had nice views-the bed, pillows were very clean and comfortable. What stood out above everything was the staff. Every person we encountered,from the cleaning ladies to the valet (Garnet was one of them), were friendly, happy, and genuinely caring. The customer serviceand interactions we had made for a wonderful stay. The atmosphere was super chill at the Riggs Cafe on the first floor and thecrowd pleasantly diverse. I really can't say enough great things about the Riggs. Kudos to management. It's a well runoperation. Read more
