From the moment I arrived every single staff person I encountered was above and beyond. They were kind, enthusiastic, and... helpful. I think it must say a lot about the culture of working there how that kind of service was present in everyone I met.The decor and rooms were of course incredible, but I will remember how everyone made me feel like a celebrity even though I wasjust a regular person there to attend a conference. Good location, the service was excellent. I think the hotel prices are a bit steep however given there are other options within... the same price range with slightly better location and rooms. The bar was really expensive too, about $18 for a 4 ounce glass ofwine. I completely understand the price range for a craft cocktail but thought that was a little too pricey just for wine. Wish I could give 10 stars!! I stayed there after going through a medical emergency to be near the hospital. Overall: - The... food was amazing 10/10 lots of options for breakfast and a great waiters - The rooms were clean and comfortable. EDIT: Unfortunately, the hotel never reached out to me as promised (even though they said they would in their response to this... review). I sent them another follow up email, it was read, but no response. The Watergate has lost its customer service flair.If they do reach out to me and offer an appropriate resolution after all of this, I will edit this review. The staff was very nice, but there were several problems: ? We were advertised a higherfloor (and upgrade if available), we were never offered it like we normally are. ? Housekeeping didn?t come so we had to calland they were four hours late which delayed our dinner reservation. ? We didn?t have a coffee maker so we had to buy roomservice coffee. ? Room service breakfast was incredibly expensive and for $9 for Turkey bacon, you only get 3 small strips. ?The hot water went out on our last day during a shower. ? My husband and I stayed here 8/18/22 for our anniversary. This was our very first stay. The person who checked us in and... doormen whom worked when we checked out had awesome customer service. The room was beautiful and pictured as seen on thewebsite. However, there were a few things that made our first stay not so great. First, there was no hot water so we took a coldshower that night and the very next morning. Next, we were asleep when awaken by water loudly dripping from the ceiling over thea/c unit. We had to cut the a/c off to slow the dripping. When checking out, the desk clerk was different from the day before. Itake it she may have been a part of management due to her having on black. She asked how was our stay? We told her about theleaking ceiling. She did apologize but it didn't seem genuine. She was looking around like she was more concerned if otherguests overheard us. If not for the two major issues we had, that really could have been avoidable with a room inspection; ourstay would have been awesome. We will revisit again. Read more
