For our one year wedding anniversary we ate at La Fragua. This was not our first time here. We have always enjoyed our service... and our food. This time was no different. As always, we were quickly seated and served a large bowl of fresh, warm corntortilla chips with excellent house salsa. We ordered queso on the side, which arrived thick, hot, and tasty. Our drinks camequickly (Coke products.) Our waitress, Yuli, was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. For our dinner we ordered the grilledcazuelada, a mixture of deliciously-seasoned steak, chorizo, chicken, shrimp, bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions for two, servedon an enormous sizzle platter, accompanied by two large very hot plates filled with refried beans, Spanish rice, quacamole, shredded lettuce, crema, and pico de gallo. We each got three foil-wrapped, freshly-seared flour tortillas. The only flat pointin the meal for me was the rice, which was oddly flavorless. Cilantro and lime would have kicked it up a notch. It didn'tmatter. I was focused on the contents of the sizzle platter. Every single delectable bite was *juicy*! The shrimp were*succulent*! My husband doesn't normally like shrimp and HE ate shrimp! The chicken! The steak! The chorizo! The perfect bitewas a tortilla with a layer of lettuce for crunch, a bit of crema, and a mixture of the grilled meats. Wow! The ONLY problemwith the cazuelada is the portioning It's for "two." We're two not-small guys. This thing could easily feed four. Either come*very* hungry, or be prepared for lots of amazing leftovers. :D So we left room for dessert Hey, a year ago it was weddingcake, so why not? We asked Yuli to surprise us. She brought us changos, and sopapillas. Changos are small flour tortillasstuffed with lightly sweet cream cheese filling, deep fried, rolled in cinnamon sugar, served on a chocolate swirl with whippedcream garnishes. There were two. They were hot, very rich, and very satisfying. I suggest getting these after a *lighter* Read more

Some of the best Mexican food I have had! I ordered the Carnita dinner with no onion..after eating some of it, the waiter... noticed that they put onion in (I said nothing and was fine picking it out). He had them make me a fresh plate of carnita, whichwas hot and fresh! Great customer service. Read more

Great find! The food was delicious and nobody left anything short of stuffed. The "large" margarita seems like it's a pitcher... on a stick...and very tasty. We will be back. Read more
