Went for my birthday. It's sure not what it used to be. My family's been celebrating at Louie's for 30 years. We expected a... great celebration . For the first time ever at Louie's we were served scorched soup, cold main courses and enough side dishesfor six people. On the plus side the artichoke appetizer was edible but not spectacular. Our server appeared to be poorlytrained and service was slow. He was always around pouring water , but very slow to bring the food . Problems in the kitchen? My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. We both ordered lunch entrees (sirloin & filet, French onion soup, side... salad, mashed potatoes, and twice baked potatoes). We also ordered stuffed mushroom appetizer & chocolate mousse cake!Appetizers, steaks, soup, and dessert was all fantastic. Too full to eat sides with everything else we enjoyed. We had a wonderful night at Louis Chop House this evening. Our server, Haley, was magnificent. She was friendly, attentive,... efficient and made our visit so much more enjoyable than so many other restaurants. The food was fabulous. I had Piedmontfilet and it literally melted in my mouth. The Au Gratin potatoes were absolutely wonderful. Topping off our evening was thechocolate mousse cake with berries ? pure heaven. This will be our go to restaurant for those special occasions. It's been a long time since i ate here. Thankfully not a thing has changed. The atmosphere, service and food were nothing short... of exceptional. Server was prompt, friendly and on point in every way. I got the dry aged 12oz ribeye and au graten potatoes. Exceptional they were. Glad i came back. Read more
