We came to play miniature golf. There were only 2 people working at that time. One was at the window for golf, the other at the... window for ice cream. So, the extended family and I (about 12 of us total) were looking for a thing to do that was both multigenerational and... inexpensive. Someone suggested mini golf and the custard place was closest... in New Baltimore. Little did I know that i wouldget to experience the "worlds finest" custard while I was there. Now, don't get me wrong, it was decent custard but i think thechoice of name may be a marketing scheme to get people as customers. Apparently, this type of over-zealous marketing worksbecause there were a steady number of people in line throughout the entire time we were there (which was about twohours). Anyway, the reason for the three stars has more to do with the substandard mini-golf. The 18 hole course had lots ofdecorative elements to it but most of them were in disrepair including about half of the statues that look like they haven'tbeen painted for a few years, others that had large holes in them, and two (a giraffe and a totem pole) that were entirelyknocked over. The difficulty of the course was about 3/5 stars as well but it was aided in its difficulty by the amount ofdebris that covered each hole. I would suggest that it be someones job to arrive an hour early and blow each hole before thecustard place opens. Well, anyway, we had a nice time and will probably come again someday unless we have an option that makessense for us at the time. Read more
