Downtown Social is a bar in New Braunfels. They have music nightly, either live music or a DJ. It also has a mini bowling ally... inside. How great is that? If your not a bowler that's fine, there are video games great bartenders, drinks and greatatmosphere. I went on a Thursday night. There was a DJ that was so fun, he played trivia games and kept the house jumpin!! Foodwas good and prices were very good. Staff was so friendly and took care of you right. I would recommend Downtown Social for adate or hanging out with friends and Im going back for sure. So check it out for yourself. You cant go wrong. Read more
I really enjoy this place... you can get a different experience every day you go. Heck... the place is a different experience... at different times! The bartenders are really good... they are quick and to the point. The food comes up quickly and there is ahappy hour menu to enjoy a well. The place has a lot to explore and do. They have curated a lovely environment, tasty food, and good service. I’ll start by saying we are locals and have enjoyed... downtown social for years, but in a small group setting. I reserved seating for 25 for my husbands birthday, two months prior tothe date of the party. I stayed in contact via email, confirming seating arrangements. They even sent me an image of the tableset up. The morning of the party, I called to double check we were still good for the evening. When we arrived, our table onlyhad seating for 14 and the big long table they had sent an image of, was being used by another party. The manager did come overand provide a solution of providing another table, but the table was too short for barstools to sit at. I’m not sure if it wasmiscommunication amongst staff or lack of organization, but it was frustrating asking guests to shift chairs and tables around.The service was good given the size of the party.
