Girlfriend and I were in town for the waterpark. We decided to try breakfast here. Service made some simple mistakes (no biggie... it happens). However, the food is something worth talking about. It was super bland. I ordered the chilaquiles and the weresuper soggy and drenched in the most pretentious red sauce ever. (NO flavor.) My girlfriend ordered the huevos a la mexicana.Also super bland, no color, it was just a mid-tier breakfast. Mind you, we were both super hungry, so it was quitedisappointing. I would probably not return. The building itself is really cool with murals surrounding the entire outside.Historic, but disappointing where it really matters. Sorry for the harsh review. Read more
We ventured into this small town on our way to S. Padre and what a treat! First of all, the little downtown area the restaurant... is in was so cute! Great place to take a stroll. Anyway, food was delicious and the servings were huge and the prices wereextremely affordable! We fed a party of 10 with what we usually pay for a party of 4 at the big city where we live! I had thepozole and it was amazing! My husband had the shrimp and streak and it came out sizzling on the platter and was great. Theshrimp tasted fresh. The flour tortillas are very thick but have good flavor. Out waiter was amazing as well. He made us feelvery welcomed and had us laughing.
