Excellent first visit today and my friend took me out to lunch while I visited New Braunfels for the day. I love how it?s tucked... away off from the Main Street and how there?s various areas to sit in, with different feels. Even an outside patio and gardenarea. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Ice tea was good, side salad was good. Fresh green beans were hard and crunchy. To me... that?s undercooked and my wife agreed. The French fries were delicious. My disappointment was with the chicken fried steak. Itwas tougher than I expected to get from a place so highly recommended. I?ve had a lot better nearby for less. Delicious food in a neat area with boutique's and shops. This is a popular place that does not accept reservations so be... patient. The food is worth the wait and the service is fabulous. I had a tough experience, and was stood up by my date. Thehostess was a very nice girl who figured out what happened, and she tried to buy my dinner! I was shocked at the kindessoffered by a stranger in a time when I was sad. I went to my car and retrieved the flowers I had bought for the date that stoodme up and gave them to the hostess. She seemed thankful and very happy, which helped cheer me up a bit after my night.
