I really like the pizza here. It’s Greek style and an really well executed Greek style pie. Definitely give this place a try.
Awful, awful, awful!!! Made a big order because we work from a office close by, placed the order about 1 hour in advance to... make sure we get our food on time. An hour and 50 mins later the food was not ready, they charge us the wrong price. The saladsdon’t have the ingredients that the menu said, the tacos are dry and of course cold. After waiting to get the food theydidn’t give us the pizza that was order. When we called back the lady said oh yeah who ever picked it up didn’t take it anddidn’t pay for it, and again they charged us the wrong thing, the pizza was included in the total and not once did we get anapology or an im sorry. We are local residents and frequent customers at this restaurant, however, last night our family placed an order over about 45... minutes in advance for only two items: a few tacos and some buffalo wings. Upon arriving, employees did not appear to be doinganything, and only started preparing our order upon our arrival despite it having been placed almost an hour in advance. As wewaited for our order to be prepared, we noticed the employee making the food was not wearing a mask and was coughing withoutcovering his mouth in the direction of our food. After this whole ordeal, we go home to find that our wings have no saucewhatsoever on them – they were just plain wings despite the fact that we clearly ordered buffalo wings and as a matter offact, the only item on your menu is buffalo wings (not plain wings or any other flavors) so it was very clear that the employeeswere not doing their job properly and hastily made our food with no consideration for what was clearly ordered or for what is onthe menu. Due to the lack of proper customer service and poor hygiene practices we will not be returning nor do we recommendother locals order food from here if you value basic hygiene practices. Read more
Good Pizza! I was 20, more than 65 years ago, before I had my first pizza. I was culturally deprived. For twenty years I... dealt with New Canaan Pizza. I ordered what I thought of as a "deluxe" pizza, onions, peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and(double) sausage. Then the owner sold out and New Canaan Pizza closed but with a promise to re-open under new management. Formonths, I would stop to see if there was any progress toward reopening., No Joy. I tried every other pizza around. Still nojoy. I gave up pizza. Finally it reopened. I was ecstatic. Ordered. Disappointed. Tried again. No joy, no pizza. Gave uppizza. Then came the pandemic. I was ordering groceries delivered and every fourth or fifth meal in. Now when ordering foodin, pizza is the first choice and every third or fourth choice. So, I ordered from New Canaan Pizza. And, voila! It was"deluxe" pizza as I remembered it. I would order a "large," eat two slices and carefully double-wrap and freeze the othersix. Now, since the pandemic, there is not much to do. Every day, I spend at least twenty.minutes planning the evening meal. Last night, I planned pizza, with the left over ribs and pork tenderloin. When i went to the freezer this am I was disappointedto find no pizza. I went to Grubhub and re-submitted my last order for delivery at the cocktail hour. Boy is it good. Now,after ordering pizza from lots of places, I acknowledge that pizza is a matter of taste. Some people even like Dominoes. Irecommend New Canaan Pizza. Give it a try. Read more
