We grew up near Old Forge the 'Pizza Capital of the World'. We are pizza snobs and find most of the stuff around us is 'mall... pizza'. Lifeless and bland. A couple of weekends a month my wife makes pizza. We have an Ooni pizza oven. If we have guests orfamily visiting they agree that it's one of the best pizza's they have had. Her Detroit is pretty good too. She's really pickyon what goes into the homemade sauce and the brand of cheese used. But on a weeknight or when we have company Sophia's is our goto place. IMO it's a close second and sooo much easier to order online. Their traditional is good, but our preferred pie is OldWorld which we think is the best around. The Detroit style is pretty good too. This place has the best subs for the best prices! You can't beat their special of 3 regular subs or 3 large subs. The subs are... HUGE and delicious! We also requested that they cut one of the subs into 4 smaller pieces and wrap them individually for ourfather who is in a nursing home and they were so accommodating and kind to do it. Read more
First time having food from this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The first pizza was huge and was one of the best pizzas... I have ever experienced. The dough was perfect and the sauce was excellent. We also tried four of their fries. Messy butworth it! Read more
