Today was, well interesting. There are things that you really need to correct. 1st. Don?t overbook. We had a reservation for... 1pm and waited nearly 40 minutes for our seats. 2. Teach your wait staff that it is best to CLEAR dishes before they put thenext course out. She almost dropped my food on me. 3rd. Get a BETTER method of communication in your kitchen. For two hoursall I could hear is your kitchen director SCREAMING at the staff. It was disastrous. You also need to lubricate that annoyingsqueaky service door. Also. NEVER sit someone right outside your serving entrance. I believe that the fire marshal would haveshut you down today had you been inspected. One of your waitstaff stumbled over one of my guests . Not once, not twice. Threetimes. 4th. Be mindful of the produce you keep. My guest was served rotten cherry tomatoes and slimy lettuce. Rotten. Myfood was less than warm. 5th. When dessert comes out, kindly instruct your server to ask if we would like coffee with dessert. It would have gone well with the carrot cake. LASTLY, Please. You advertise yourself as a fine dining establishment. Cramming3 people on a table edge that will only comfortably fit two is something that I would expect of much lesser restaurants. Yourpatrons should not have to eat off the corner of the table. I spent close to $400 today for a most unpleasant experience and Iquite frankly don?t care to hear any excuses for the deficiencies. I can?t imagine returning for more. Read more

This was such a strange experience. First off I must compliment the hostess who is exceptionally gracious and kind. ... Unfortunately I can not say the same for our waitress Jackie. I arrived with my mother in law at 8am for brunch. When we wereseated there were only two other tables seated and they already had drinks and were placing their orders. Jackie brought uswaters and proceeded to ignore us for 30 minutes. I tried to get her attention and she seemed to be avoiding making eye contactwhich was bizarre. The restaurant was filling up and we watched other people receive attentive service. When I finally stoodup to leave at 8:31am, the other server (who was not our server) rushed over and asked to take our order. I said no thank youand he threw his hands up in frustration?! I got the impression it was ?a well I tried and these customers are unreasonable?gesture. In hind sight I can not decide if it was Jackie or the male waiter who was more rude and unwelcoming. The thirdwaitress and hostess were very apologetic as we left. But why on earth would anyone stay to eat food and spend money where theyclearly are considered a burden? The rest of our stay in New Harmony was ok, not great. My family and I got the vibe thatalthough New Harmony is a town that sees a lot of tourists, they do not actually like and are put out by said tourists. Read more

Pecan crusted chicken with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. And it was perfect. Ask for the caramel-apple sauce on the side... if you have sugar issues. Allergies (shellfish, fish, seafood, beef) eliminated 2/3 of the entrees and appetizers for me.Excellent bread comes with warm butter. One sister ordered an appetizer of crab cakes & onion soup and was highly complimentaryof both. Other sisters ordered salmon & risotto and another ordered the seabass. Both were excellent. Service was superb. Davidwas unobtrusively excellent. He kept water glasses filled, answered questions, took a picture of my family, and refilled thebread bowl, all without intruding. He was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Read more

Not our first time here, but typical. We came for dinner and to enjoy jams on the patio. Music was very enjoyable. Dinner...... Meh It was 94 degrees, not the restaurant's fault. But, no breeze meant swarms of flies! Three or four would land on your forkas you lifted it to your mouth! Some strategically placed fans and some water bags would fix much of that. (Ask the outdoorTexas BBQ places how to do it, they have it down to a science.) The goat cheese appetizer was tasty, but the bread so hard withit was inedible. The summer salad was nice. Onion soup was tasteless. With A gigantic glob of cheese that was just way toomuch. Pecan chicken was good, but the broccoli with it was huge, woody, and old. Disappointed. Considering this is anexpensive place for the area, it could be improved. Next time, I think we will just come for wine and music and skip the food. Read more
