I tried the first time coming back from Bouckville Antique fest. However, he had a private party and the place was full. I ... understood and he did offer to make a to go order, but I live 20 miles from the restaurant and who wants cold steamed pizza. Ijust said Id come back another time which I did when I was shopping Seneca Wines right next door. I put my order in for thepizza and shopped for wines while waiting. I am not sure if all the pizzas are same size, but mine was the size of a tortillashell, and with prosciutto, peppers and onions, and bottled water, the price was $37 with tax. A sticker shock for sure, butthe quality of the product was excellent, and while you can smell the wood smoke, it didn't permeate and overpower the flavor ofthe pizza made itself. The owner took the time to explain to me how the process worked. They start the fire and a huge stoneslab gets heated and the lining of the oven has brick lining. The smoke gets vented outside the building, but the heat is veryintense so the pizza chef has to keep constant attention or it will burn to charcoal in less than 3 minutes!! The flavor isvery different from gas pizzeria ovens, so don't expect the pizza to be similar taste as the smoke adds the unique hardwoodflavor. I am 100% Italian and know the flavors of fine Italian dining, casual/ pizzeria food, and of course authentic Italianhome cooking! I would classify the food as gourmet pizza, and the restaurant as upscale rustic/ casual. I recommend you tryas the choice of toppings is setup like making a Subway sub. Kind of fun to see your pizza assembled and baked before youreyes!! Read more

Sadly disappointed this evening. Wanted a large. Half cheese half pepperoni. .only have pan size feeds 2. No problem ordered... 2. $14 each bill $28.way too expensive. Very little flavor. Flatest like a tortia. Looked like sauce and cheese was painted on. Hope they have a good following, will not be doing a return visit Read more

My partner and I have been eating here for lunch regularly since she got her job in New Hartford. The specials are always worth... trying, these folks constantly push the envelope, and the risk is your reward. They also boast six taps of beer and cider thatrotate constantly, so, there's always something fun to pair your pizza with! Besides the ever changing specials menu, theirfaithful (and large!) selection of classic pizzas will keep you coming back. I'm currently ordering the menu one by one, fromtop to bottom so I can say I've had everything on it! Read more
