Had a slice of Michelina?s penne pasta pizza at the Apizza festival in New Haven after being recommended it by a few locals. I?m... always willing to try something new, so I went ahead and bought a slice to try. The taste overall was alright- the sauce was abit bland in my opinion. The pasta added an interesting texture to the pizza, but I thought it would be best to be left offoverall. The crust was flavorful, but less crispy than traditional New Haven style pizza. If you enjoy pasta on pizza, youshould give this a try, though! Read more

The pizza was delicious the service left a little to be desired. Idk if I got there at the wrong time or what. The manager or... owner was in the process of interviewing someone. I ordered two slices of pizza in the front and asked to eat it in the bar.After I sat down it was made very clear to me that it was not protocol to do that and I was made to feel like I ruined theordering process. I did want to have a drink while I waited but he proceeded to entertain the interviewee the rest of my timethere. It wasn't until the official bartender arrived like 20 minutes later that I was able to get a drink order in and it wasrepeated that I ordered the two slices of pizza the wrong way . I explained that I had never been there and had no idea of theirprotocol. At the end of the day the pizza was really good though. Maybe I'll give it a try another day at a different time. Terrible service, even worse food. Waiter was incompetent - asked us 4 times what pizza we wanted , still got it wrong, and when... we finally did get our pizza it was very soggy and barely edible. We never received water , and they had workers played withlacrosse sticks in the hallway almost hitting customers. Super unprofessional and a very awful experience. Read more
