Atmosphere, food, and drinks were superb. They had a unique variety of Indian food I personally haven’t seen before. They also... had a whole section for non alcoholic drinks that were creative and delicious. Great experience overall. Read more

The service was pretty good and attention to details. Lovely wall art the decor. I had Vada pav, pav Bhabhi , dosa and Chole... bhatura. The food was average tasting however I really like chole bhatura. I also ordered chai but would not recommend. Read more

This was my first experience of any form of Indian food, and I was not disappointed! The outdoor dining area is beautiful, the... tap water is incredibly clean & crisp, the bathrooms are aesthetically pleasing and clean like I've never seen before, and thestaff are polite & courteous! I also like how the restaurant is tucked away from the main street, making for a more intimateexperience and you won't have to be easily bothered by traffic, except when finding parking. The food here may as well be worksof art, because they all look as pleasing to the eye are they are appetizing! There's plenty of vegan options, and the mocktailswere delightful! The flavors are intense with lots of kick & heat, but not too overpowering towards one or the other flavor! Iwould definitely come back here to try more items in the future! Read more

Good food and adequate service. Prices were reasonable considering its location so close to Yale. Expect all dishes on the menu... to be moderately spicy, so be sure to ask about the spice level if you have any issues with spice. I recommend the butterchicken shared plate and the iced chai tea latte. If you're looking for some Indian food with a pleasant environment andadequate service, this is the place to go in New Haven. I already enjoy Indian food, but Sherkaan brings it to a whole new level! Their menu is creative, with a mix of traditional... dishes, and everything that we had was done very well. Butter chicken with garlic naan is my usual go-to, and Sherkaan’s is mynew favorite! The Hakka noodles and ribs were fantastic as well. My boyfriend enjoyed his cocktail, and next time we’retotally getting the one with the tiger on top! Sherkaan is definitely my new favorite spot for Indian food. Read more
