Delicious food and friendly staff. Great pupusas and tamales. Any time I'm down in Groton I stop by to take some home!
My daughter and I stopped in on a whim...didn't realize we were walking into a bar which also doubles as a sandwich shop and an... El Salvadorian restaurant/baKery. After looking a the menu wedecided on the ceviche.... waited a bit for our food, but realizedthe reason was it was being freshly prepared I cannot begin to tell you how delicious our dish was, never mind the size of theplatter which fed and filled the two of us to the brim. Maybe our experience would have been better if we dined in, but our take out order was disappointing. We had items that were... incorrect, missing, and an item we did not order. Either the prices online need to be updated or we were incorrectlycharged?after getting home we used the menu available online and our order should have been ~$67 but we were charged $89. Nototal was given when we placed our order over the phone. The receipt was not itemized so it was unclear where things went wrong.I would have taken it back but some people in our group had already started eating some of the dishes. 5/7 items we ordered werecorrect so I?m pretty sure we picked up the intended order. The taste was decent. The pupusas were very good. The nachos wereas expected (a lot of cheese and sauce) and the enchiladas tasted just like the nachos except with tortillas instead of chips.The chicken wings (which we received instead of chicken tenders) were saturated with oil and not enjoyable. You may have betterluck if you dine-in or comb through your order before pick up but it?s unlikely I would choose to eat here again. Read more
