Nice, upscale without being pretentious. Good, varied food selection and nice craft cocktails. One of our group received fish... instead of veal. We also ordered wine and arancini that never came. Awesome ambiance! Very attentive matradie. Great back waiter!! Waiter was a bit disappointing..did not check on us often.... Ordered wine when I ordered dinner, it came out half way through dinner. Wife asked for lemons in her water, it arrived after wefinished eating. The softshell crab was very tasty but not crispy. Probably cooked at too low a temp. The drum was very tasty,but a bit tough. My experience here was awful. First, our server gave me a dirty appetizer plate. There was leftover food smeared on it, so I... asked her to take it back. Second, the food is really really really bad. I am usually very easy going when it comes to eatingout, but for the price, the food was awful. Both my husband and I got potatoes with our meal--they were hard as a rock. Veryundercooked and bland. I ordered the filet, which was the toughest piece of meat you could possibly imagine. (And the colorwas way off. It was almost purple.) My husband's fish was bland. Simply not worth the high prices, especially with all thewonderful other options in New Orleans that offer infinitely better food at similar prices. Read more
