The service was amazing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The manager on duty even gave us a tour of the 3 floors and gave... us a little history of the restaurant. You have to have the long Island with passion fruit rum OMG so good and the food wasdelicious. The alligator bites taste so good so don't be afraid to try them they really do taste like chicken. We popped in here during our Labor Day Weekend stay and we so pleased!! The staff was very nice and the food was fantastic! I... had the Mambo's oysters and they were to die for!! Perfect amount of cheese and sauce and perfectly grilled oysters. The BBQShrimp was another hit - I've had a run of bad luck with BBQ Shrimp in NOLA since Johnny's White's closed so I was THRILLED tofind some with a fabulous sauce (and not sickly sweet or molasses thick like Coop's). The Bloody Mary had just the right amountof spice and their pickled green beans are soooo good! We will definitely make Mambo's a regular "must visit" when we return! Read more
Went here on a Thursday night with my partner. We were immediately seated, waited on very soon after and received our food... quickly. It was a good experience through and through. The Crab Cake Pasta was very delicious and my partner enjoyed the Tasteof New Orleans. Checking in with Yelp awarded us a free dessert which was their bread pudding. It was to die for! Very poor customer service. My waitress never came to check on us, we had to ask others for refills, napkins, and to correct... the order and each time it took 20-30 minutes to just get a napkin, to ask for steak sauce since the steak had no flavor.Oysters barely had any oyster in them and full of what tastes like artichoke dip, the alligator was good but the other itemswere average. This place was phenomenal. We greatly enjoyed the food (Gator Bites appetizer, Shrimp and Grits, and the Taste of New Orleans).... The atmosphere was amazing and the music was great.
