Stumbled upon this place after leaving the zoo. It was amazing, its hard to find good Mexican food in the south. Definitely... worth a stop after the zoo or down in the Garden district. Read more
The best thing on their menu is the tacos. They're great! Their sauces (queso, guacamole, salsa) are also fantastic, fresh, and... so delicious. The service is also great. I did not like the enchilada, WAY too much cheese. Barely anything else. It wasshocking. I also did not like the steak. It was "grey," barely any charring on the outside, huge chunks of fat, and just softand boring throughout. You couldn't tell whether it was medium rare or well done - one of those. Probably mostly due to thefact that it was a bad cut of steak. I like the music, the decor, and great service. Everyone is friendly. My partner ordered from here over the phone, we saw the one dollar sign and the high reviews and figured it'd be fine for a... quick pick up. We spent over 30 dollars on 'cotton-ball dry' chicken and hard shell tacos that made me wish I had just gone totaco bell. No sour cream on either, just salsa sides.
