I have been eating at this restaurant for over thirty years and today is my last for several reasons. First and foremost, I am... moving out of state, but even if I wasn?t moving, today was my last. First impressions are everything. As soon as I walked infor breakfast this morning, it was dark in the once well lit facility. Most of the lights were off, presumably to saveelectricity, but like I stated, first impressions are everything, not good so far. My usual waitress, Donna was working, alwaysthe charmer. No one working there has her ability to run a restaurant, and keep customers satisfied. My order of three eggsover-light, hash browns and wheat toast, pretty simple order for a restaurant of this type. The eggs were jumbo size, andcooked nearly just right. Thats where the positives end. They were so drenched in oil used on the griddle, they was literallypuddle of it on the eggs. My toast was not ?toasted? just warmed buttered bread basically. And the hash browns, WOW, the onlyreason I knew I was not eating lard is by the texture, they were 100% oil drenched. I left the entire plate of hash browns onthe plate. I miss the old days of going here for a good meal, sadly I don?t think the new owners have what it takes. To end ona positive, the prices were fine, considering the current nationwide situation of price gouging. Read more

First time coming here. Great service and prices. Staff was very friendly and helped me with my order to go. While waiting I was... asked if I needed a drink while I waited...which was very nice. Food was hot and delicious. I will be back to try other thingson the menu. I highly recommend trying!!! Read more

With the change in owner ship the place has went down hill. Ordered chip beef over toast with homefries. My order came out... with toast on the side a plate of homefries (cold) with chip beef gravy over the potatoes. The gravy was watered down andpotatoes were burnt like they were left on the grill for a couple hours. Sad to say we will not return to once a great placefor down home cooking. *** yes we were just in yesterday. 10/23. Yes I did explain it to the wait staff and was told that ishow it comes out. I had my grandson and was not going to push the issue. I ate my meal, paid my bill, left a tip. Now I amletting me review. Read more
