There?s so much chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. I ordered a chicken and shrimp fajita. The rice was very dry and didn?t... taste fresh. The onions were not cook and the peppers tasted bitter and spoiled. I didn?t enjoy my first visit meal there. Mycompanion, enjoyed his meal and Carmelita?s is one of his favorite places to eat. However, the staff was awesome. If I?m everin the area again I would give them another try and try something else. Read more
We had a great time at Carmelitas! The portions and flavor of the food was exceptional. Not sure what the bad reviews are for... but we were seated quickly and served fast too. The servers were responsive and answered the questions we had. Again, theportions are humongous and the taste is delicious. The nachos were off the hook as well. Read more
???? Carmelita's is an awesome authentic Hispanic restaurant that will give your taste buds an awakening of deep authentic... Spanish taste from the cuisines served here. The staff is always nice, very helpful and intentive. It has been here for at least15+ years, which helps establish its authenticity. Hispanic beers and wine to choose from, also in the back the have a full barof liquors. Prices are about $10 for most dishes. Which is mediocre but fair these days.. thanks Joe (you know). Anyways, It'salways great time here at Carmelita's, food is always spiced just right and cooked to perfection. We visited the New Port Richey location and the food was good, but the service did leave something to be desired. The hostess... was out it front of the restaurant eating dinner like a patron and seemed annoyed to have to seat us, and the waiter was not ontop of things either. This was very unfortunate to experience, as the meal was actually very good. The chips and salsa weredelightful, and my fajitas were very good. Because of that, I will give them another try, but with me it will be two strikes andyou're out. Read more
