So happy that we finally have a true Roti shop in Orange County, where we can share our culture with our neighbors. Not only is... the food amazing but the owner and her family are so welcoming and treat you like their own every time you walk in the door. Soproud to be a Trini living in Orange County. I don’t ever make reviews when it comes to restaurants unless it’s REALLY BAD or REALLY GOOD. In this case..this was REALLY... GOOD place to eat. The restaurant has a little memorial plaque/history on why it started and what it represents which isawesome. The owner is probably one of THE KINDEST person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in a restaurant..she’s veryknowledgeable and friendly to all her costumers..she makes you feel like you’re family! and finally..the food..my goodness..itwas so good that I started doing a happy dance. Great new place. Excited to have Trinidadian food in the area!\n\nThe curried goat was delicious, the curried potatoes also. Had... it in a roti, it was very good for the area (comparing with NYC West Indian places and with Trinidad). Could use a bit morespice (I understand not everyone likes spicy so makes sense that they toned spice) and a touch of salt but otherwise reallygood. Oh and just remember, roti\'s are huge literally.\n\nThe oxtail was delicious. The doubles were delicious and the pumpkinwas delicious. We have been going to Taste of Trini since the day they opened. The staff is absolutely amazing, they are friendly and greet... every person as they come in. As for the food omg it is delicious…..the doubles are the best!!!! I am there at least once aweek if not more!!!! Read more

First let me say that I am happy to see a Trini restaurant in my neck of the woods and will always support businesses of color.... Since I can only get a roti when I travel to my hometown of Queens I was quite EXCITED. The staff was very welcoming as soon asI walked in; it was after 2pm and the food still looked fresh. I ordered a Chicken Bus Up shot; and to my dismay I was notpleased with the portion size. For $11 I do not think the 4 cut up pieces amounted to 1 whole piece of chicken; clearly itwouldn’t be enough for the huge pieces of roti skin. I made some curry chicken at home to enjoy with the roti skin. I alsoordered a side of rice & pease; mango & tamarind. The food was tasty and perhaps necessary changes will be made so I can trysomething different next time. Read more
