We stayed at the Double Tree Hotel attached to the restaurant and decided to try the restaurant as we were given breakfast... vouchers. Overall very disappointed with the service and food. Food was cold and we all had stomach aches shortly after we left.During the service we asked the server to bring us ketchup and he brought us two almost empty bottles that looked rather gross.I suggest finding another spot for breakfast. Overpriced (even with an $18 voucher) and low quality. I’m sure you can find amuch better option nearby. Read more
We were here for dinner and breakfast because it was under the hotel we stayed in. We didn't want to walk too far. The dinner... started out great. They offered bread, cheese, fried peppers that was delicious. However, they messed up my boyfriend's dinnerand got him something else. I ordered pasta with vegetables. That tasted bad. Tasted fishy like muscles. The wine selection isexcellent, however, they charge $65 for a $20 bottle. A glass of wine starts at $15. The next morning we were in a hurry so westopped for a quick breakfast buffet. It's what they normally offer hotels for free but it cost us $46 not including tip. Thebreakfast was just OK. Nothing special. No spoons were offered. Service was delayed. Coffee tasted burnt. I wouldn't recommendthis restaurant. Lots of other options in the area for food. Read more
***3 1/2 stars*** My expectations were pretty tempered here going in, and they didn't change much by the end. Antica is less... than a block from where I work and was next on my Friday lunch list based on nothing more than geographical proximity. It's apretty non-descript white tablecloth Italian restaurant within a mid-range hotel that has two or three outdoor tables that havecaught my eye during lunchtime constitutionals. It's pretty telling that when I announced I was coming here, only one co-workerhad even heard of it despite, again, this being literally 500 feet or so from our office. It wasn't bad by any means but it justdidn't make much of an impression (which some would argue is even worse). I came here yesterday around 1PM. The outdoor seatingwas full, but I was immediately seated inside. Interestingly, they have one of the most inconspicuous bars I've ever seen - itwas in my eyeline throughout the meal and yet I didn't even register it until halfway through. I imagine most of their baraction comes from table service wine requests, but still. I'd definitely make it more noticeable if possible. The interior ishonestly pretty generic and humdrum. Again, it's a slightly upscale restaurant in a hotel and looks every bit the part. There'sno indication that the designers went out of their way to make this a unique environment, and there's a compelling argument thatthey don't really need to - there's a built-in customer base sleeping overnight in your building. It had some upbeat Italianmusic playing, and a European family seated nearby was happily bopping along. And I think they absolutely get points forhospitality - I came in basically wearing gym clothes and they didn't bat an eye. The service was excellent. It helped that Ihad picked out my entrée two days before so I was immediately ready to order, but I literally had my food presented to me about10 minutes after I entered the restaurant. Work dinner for 12. Gave our room away. Did offer our first drinks to be on the house. Then took it on themselves to order... randomly and way too much for the entire table with many courses before the mains. Most of the courses were very average. Gaveus 10 plates of broccoli for 12 diners! Service was abrupt, rushed and not attentive. Read more
