5 people seated in the outdoor makeshift patio area pretty easily with no reservation on a Thursday evening. Ordered food and... then waited a long time (45 minutes) before our food came out. Food was great though. The lamb chops are so good, the rice isso flavorful, the beef cubes were alright, the okra and the ground chicken sausage thing were all quite nice too. Expensive,and not the most filling quantity wise, but still an overall good experience I'd say. Read more

Got to try this place out for the first time a few days ago and loved it! My friend and I split a few dishes so that we could... sample a little of everything and it was all great! The sumac fries and accompanying aiolis were great, the falafelperfectly-crisped and seasoned, and the muhammara was a nice blend of sweet with spice. This was our second visit to Au Za'atar, and we really enjoy visiting this restaurant. The indoor space is undergoing extensive... renovations, but the outdoor dining experience was quite good (the weather helped too!). The service was kind and efficient andthe food was excellent! The Falafel pizza was the unexpected favorite of the night, while the other dishes (Mudardara,Muhammara, the Shish Tawook, Areydes, Roasted Beets, Baba Ghanoush) were very good too. Highly recommend!
