After a poor Korean BBQ experience for my first time in Chicago, it was relieving to go somewhere else and see how good it CAN... be. They do the cooking for you (which I do still wish I could do it myself), tons of classic sides at the table ready for us inadvanced, and all 3 meats of our course were delicious! Great Korean BBQ restaurant. Well worth the 45 min wait to get a table! They move like an engine and is def one of the best in... the city for the tableside grilling experience. The meats are still delicious, fresh and tender; even with the price going up.The sides are delicious. It was a good experience from what I remember from previous times being here and I was not disappointedto bring someone here for their first time. We really enjoyed our meal and a chance to indulge. The price is definitely worth the meat quality! Got the mixed combo of pork and beef for two people and it was definitely enough... food. The banchan options were varied and delicious and more than enough. I wish they provided bigger lettuce leaves and othergreens for wrapping meat. You also need to order rice on the side if that’s you’re thing to enjoy meat with! The combostarted with thinly sliced beef brisket followed by premium pork belly and ended with marinated short rib. The food was delicious, but we were rushed out at the end. I understand they need the table, so we paid the bill and left. We... got the Hodong’s Favorite Combo, which was the beef and pork combo.
