Big room across from Little Island, been wanting to try it for a while. Pleasant experience. Pizza was tasty, bruschetta too. We... all had pastas, menu was quite limited, if I?m not mistaken there were only three pastas available, gnocchi, rigatoni withguanciale (thick bacon) and a linguine with shrimp and jalapeños in an olive oil. There was something a little odd about howthe pastas were served, quite uneven portions. There were six of us, I think I would like to try it as a couple for a betterevaluation. Service was good and food was flavorful. Read more

Very good environment. Loved the chicken and kale salad the best. Pizza and pasta were just as delicious. Service was a little... slow. Overall 9/10 Read more

Took my mom out to Barbuto. She immigrated from China and has been living here for 20+ years, but hasn?t ever been to a nice... Italian restaurant before. I was excited to take her to this place and had high expectations based on the reviews, but was sadlydisappointed. The pasta plates were small in portion size despite being $26-27. That would have been fine considering some highquality ingredients like morel mushrooms, and the fact that this is a nicer restaurant in Manhattan. But the pasta dishes wegot, particularly the carbonara, were shockingly so salty. Like not the kind of yummy savory level of salty, but so salty I needto drink water with every bite and even though the portion size is small and I want to finish the food because I?m hungry anddon?t want to waste food, I am physically unable to finish it because it is so salty. I hope other guests eating here do nothave this same experience. The rigatoni with meat sauce was good. The morel asparagus gnocchi was so so. I still tasted cookingwine in the morels. The gnocchi was dry and doughy - I could make better gnocchi myself. Wish there was more asparagus in thedish. The kale salad was the best part of our meal. Even that was salty tasting, but in an acceptably yummy way. I hope futureguests who order carbonara do not have the same disappointing experience as us. Read more

Jonathan Waxman and team are firing on all cylinders. I basically love every restaurant in the family and Barbuto is at the top... of the class. Cheese plate (not pictured as it was eaten too fast) features Humbolt fog, the greatest cheese ever crafted. Thewine list is accessible and fantastic along with a sommelier. Again can?t say enough Read more

Pretty good pasta at this restaurant with a view of the Hudson river. It's pretty spacious inside with a relaxed, casual... Californian vibe. The service was great throughout the meal. The calamari salad was excellent. The fried calamari worked wellwith the frisée salad. The shrimp linguini was amazing with its pasta coated with a sauce that had hints of lemon, garlic andjalapeño. The shrimp were a bit overcooked, however. The rigatoni was delicious. The pasta was al dente, and the sauce waspacked with flavor. Almost like a pepperoni pizza... but in a pasta form. A great stop if you're in West Village orMeatpacking. Read more
