Yes, it?s a little pricey but what do you expect in downtown NYC. The sandwiches are fresh and delicious! Thin sliced meats,... tasty cheeses, high quality olive oil. Just a great sandwich that needs to be tried. Stop here at least once a month. Read more
I was very disappointed with my order. I got a chicken with mozzarella and balsamic sandwich. The bread was dry, the chicken was... dry, the mozzarella was sub par and it was drenched with to much balsamic. Overall for the price of those sandwiches it's a hugerip off. The staff was not rude, rather indiffent and the store was not as organized as some of the other places in the area. Ido not recommend. Read more
The sandwiches are great, and so is the staff. The gentleman at the register was quick but friendly - it's like things happened... quickly, but I didn't feel rushed. Look for long lines during weekday lunch hours, but the fast and effective service makesthings go pretty quickly. Despite the long list of sandwiches (there seems to be something for everyone, including vegetarianor vegan options) the staff makes the sandwiches very efficiently. The drink selection is pretty good, with Hal's seltzer,Snapple, and other choices. Unfortunately, last time I took a sandwich to go they gave me the wrong sandwich - they put thewrong sandwich in the bag with my name on it which also had the correct sandwich name written on it). Best Italian sandwich in the Financial District. I got the cappone on semolina and I wouldn't change a thing about it.... HOWEVER...17 bucks for a hero, that's on the small side, was pretty disappointing. They either gotta use longer pieces of bread,or charge less. Disos's and all the other spots use bigger pieces for less. Read more
