I came here on a Sunday afternoon with my best friend. After a quick search on google, we realized this place is marketed as a... Peruvian place and has great reviews so we were excited about it. We were definitely disappointed when we sat down and inspectedthe menu. We were both confused. Like I mentioned above, this place markets itself as Peruvian but their menu also is heavilyChinese. There is also paella and a Cuban style dish?? We were overwhelmed and super confused. This menu was doing too much! Myfriend decided to order the shrimp asopado and I went for crispy shrimp with rice and beans. Once again we were disappointedwhen the food arrived. The asopado was very bland. Absolutely no flavor. The shrimp was clearly fried but not crispy. The ricewas good but it was definitely Chinese style rice and the beans had a sour taste? My friend barely touched her asopado and I gotabout halfway through the shrimp. I probably should have gotten the chicken, which seems to be very popular. A hugedisappointment as the asopado was $27 and the shrimp was $32. Overpriced for sure. We hope it was just a bad day for the chefbecause our experience did not match the positive reviews. But we probably will never go back there again. Read more

Half a chicken with yellow rice and a side of sweet plantains is all I order. They have the tastiest roasted chicken in... Downstate NY. I have been a customer at the Broadway location since the 1990s and the Amsterdam location ever since itopened. Prices have gone insane! A half a chicken with a side of plantains used to cost about $5 back in the mid 1990s. Read more

I used to come here pre pandemic and for me this place was the Best Restaurant in town. I went today and I am a bit... disappointed. Food looks the same but doesn?t taste as it used to be. We took a Lomo Saltado and Seco. The steak in the LomoSaltado was hard and the Seco was really dry, also the meat was deep red and undercooked, it used to come with lots of Saucewhile the meat used to melt in your mouth, but this time there was no sauce and the meat was dry??..I truly believe they changedChef. I will miss this place Read more

Ordered takeout from here. We got the Steak Lomo Saltado. It was okay. The salt on the fries overpowered everything else when... eaten together. However, it would not deter me from trying other items on their menu. They gave a nice portion which I was ableto split with my hubby and still be full. If I did not, I would definitely have had leftovers for the next day. The person whogave me my order was pleasant. Like I said, I would definitely eat here again but probably try other dishes.
