If you are from out of town and have a favorite sushi place you feel like you cheat when you go other places, and then went to... your favorite place? This is your hall pass cheat! This is out of the world yummy and a whole different experience. I recommendthe 4 roll experience. The yellowtail was my favorite (and ordered an extra). Read more

I ordered the 6-hand roll and walked out feeling content/full. I actually had to give half of my last one to my friend. It was... really good and I think it tastes better than Nami Nori with the caveat that it doesn?t look as aesthetically pleasing as thehand rolls from Nami Nori. The sushi rice is soft, warm, and flavorful! I heard the iced green tea is good and I also noticedother parties had ordered it. We waited ~25-30 minutes starting at 1 PM to get seated. You do have to wait outside in the sunfor some time before getting in and waiting inside. You sit at the counter and the chef would provide you with one hand-roll ata time. Spacing it out that way gave me time to enjoy and digest the food. The service was great, very friendly and warm. Tipand gratuity is included in the bill and you just pay the price on the receipt (no more, no less) and no signature required.Well worth the money! Read more

We got here around 5pm on Saturday. There were about 20+ people ahead of us on the line. The wait time was little over an... hour... Very long wait time and they do not have reservation or waitlist. Which means that you will need to stay on the line alltime until you get in. Foods are good. I personally does not like mashed fish, so I didn't enjoy some of the hand rolls. Thelobster and scallops are probably the best, then next down the list is crab and yellowtail. If you order 6 rolls combo, you willget to try all of them in one order. There are two more, one is too and the other is salmon If i am not mistaken. The menu doesupdate from time to time, so my info might not be correct later. Environment is quiet and nice. No gratuity is needed when youpay, it is included inside of the food price I think. Read more

Good food, good service, great ambience, great price! For this type of overall experience, definitely one of the best... price/quality ratio in NY, especially for sushi rolls. Great concept! Don?t expect omakase for what you pay, but this is surelya great spot to hang with close friends, for dates, or for more intimate occasions. A first date here might be a little toopushed, because you will sit next to other people. You will have to line up to get a seat, since they don?t takereservations. $37 in total for the 6 rolls, including tax and tips. Recommended! Read more

Very good quality/price spot in Nomad area. Service and atmosphere also very good. I ordered the Nozy menu and you can see some... rolls from my pictures. I love the fact that you don?t have to calculate the tip with the bill as it?s already included. Read more

Some of the best sushi hand rolls in the area! Would recommend the preset 3 roll if you?re not super hungry. The fish is so... fresh and melts in your mouth. The service is amazing for the amount of people in the restaurant- it?s more bar/community styleseating if you?re cool with that. Gratuity is included on your check as well which is great! Read more

Had an amazing time here at the original hand roll bar! We had the opportunity to try their 6 roll menu along with their... specials. I've never had sea bass sashimi before and I was blown away on how fresh and delicious it was. All their hand rollsare delicious and they simply just melt in your mouth! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to a friend visiting NewYork. It's a must have when visiting Read more

Just incredible and was amazed by the taste and serving style of the place, as well as its strict NO tipping policy. It was... definitely worth the 45 minute wait (10 pm on a Friday night). They serve each hand roll (reasonably big 3 in) individually toensure maximum taste and best texture (the seaweed wrap will get a bit soggy if you leave it long) so it will take about 5-6minutes between each roll, so delivery may not be as delicious. We got a 5 roll set ($31 with tax) and sea bass sashimi withthe default sliced ginger and wasabi. All of them were pretty good, especially the lobster and scallop rolls. For drinks myfriend got the unfiltered sake (8% alcohol and great) and I got the green tea (tea bag but still quite good). Read more
