The steak frites came with a grilled beef steak, crispy french fries, and their sauce. The sauce was pretty good, albeit... lukewarm, and was very buttery with some thyme and dijon mustard flavors to it. There are some recipes online that claim to haveduplicated the sauce. The french fries were piping hot, thin, crispy, and salted nicely. The beef steak was cut into severalthin slices. I ordered mine rare (they don?t offer medium rare), and I thought it was cooked perfectly. After you finish thisfirst plate, they come back and give you some more french fries and the remaining parts (i.e. second serving) of your steak.Don?t ask for ketchup because they said no when we asked. Great value for money and fantastic service! The steak and fries combo is for $34 a person and you pretty much get 2 portions... of food which makes it a great and filling experience. I wish they would have sauces for their fries. The steak was greatthough with a unique sauce. Had the profiteroles for desert which was awesome too - would love to try more deserts! Read more

Very simple menu. But good for people who enjoy steak and don?t want to spend too much money. It is all you can eat fries with... your steak. The steak size was decent and filling. They only serve their signature sauce so no other sauces available. Goodselection of wines. From the dessert, the profiteroles were amazing. Read more

Have meant to try this place for years but only managed to go now. Think it was worth the wait! Although they don't take... reservations, and we showed up at 8 the night before a holiday, our group of 6 managed to be seated in under 15 minutes, so fullmarks there. Many thanks to Edana, from whom we had excellent service. There is, of course, one thing on the menu: a warmwalnut salad, and an entrecote steak frites served with their signature Café de Paris sauce (second helping included!) Tostart, the salad was delicious. My steak was perfectly rare (I was offered to have it done "blue", so I went with rare ratherthan medium rare), and the sauce as good as advertised. I will say an extra, simple dash of salt and crack of pepper (especiallypepper) takes the sauce to another level, so recommend doing that. The fries were equally good, neither dry nor soggy?justcrisp. We had the house wine, which, while nothing remarkable, was a more than suitable accompaniment for a delightful dinner. The only sour note was a Sazerac with an overly liberal portion of Pernod that made it nearly unpalatable, but in the grandscheme of things that is hardly worth commenting on. Yet the standout was probably the desserts, which I had somehow concludedwould be a sort of afterthought in a restaurant that so consciously specialized in one thing. We ordered a crème brûlée,profiteroles, and the tulipe aux fraises. All were excellent; the crème brûlée had been made with real vanilla beans (youcould see the seeds, never mind taste it!), the profiteroles were light, airy, fluffy, and smothered in chocolate (and almonds)as they should be. The tulipe aux fraises, though, was certainly the most delightful to look at: ice cream in a waffle shell, fresh strawberries, with whipped cream, more almonds, and a sauce on top. With demitasses, an excellent end to a fine dinner.I'm not sure what took me so long to come here, but I'm glad I finally did! Read more

We had the most amazing meal with the best service here. The food was cooked to perfection, as always and dessert was even... better than the one I remembered. Even their Rose selection was on point. Read more
