Based on their good reputation and reviews, we decided to have a reunion at Mari. Despite informing them that one person... doesn\'t even eat any fish or seafood, they were not willing to meet his dietary requirements.\nFor a group of 6, we didn\'thave enough space and felt quite squeezed. A waiter even dropped food on my friend\'s expensive brand new bag, which was veryunprofessional due to not enough space to serve dishes.\n\nNo serious apologies were offered and everything was carriedon.\n\nUnfortunately it was a rather disappointing Michelin experience. Came here for my birthday because we had a great time at their sister restaurant Kochi. But I was quite disappointed at Mari,... from the service to food, nothing wows me. It really doesn?t match the price tag.\n\nReservation was easy just have to makereservation couple weeks in advance if you want chefs counter. I was greeted at the door and wished me happy birthday be seatedright away.\n\nThe whole tasting experience took 2 hrs. There are a long wait between each course, the handrolls took 5 secondsto eat but takes 10 mins for the next one. A lot of wait you will have to be really patient and not in a rush. I came tocelebrate birthday they do not offer any celebration, no cake no drink no candle. Only just a ?happy birthday? upon arrival.Nothing special spending birthday here.\n\nAll the food are mediocre, a lot of them are just soy sauce marinated. Terrific meal. Every bite was special, especially the sushi pieces were original and the toppings and arrangements separated... them from each other. Delicious, artfully designed food, with fantastic service and a beautiful ambiance. When we walked in, it felt like the host had... almost studied our reservation since he didn\'t even have to look at his screen when checking us in. Everything on the tastingmenu melts in your mouth, and the cocktails are great too. We came here for a birthday, and they brought out an extra dessertwith a candle! The theme is Korean hand rolls which is sorta like the Japanese style but with more spices. We loved all the rolls with thespicy tuna being the favorite due to all the great spices mixed in. The space is pretty interesting with the bar seating is amust so you can watch the chefs. Read more
