I had already dined in at OBAO a couple of months ago and had to try it out again because it was so good. It did not disappoint.... Once again, everything we ordered was 10/10. The Kimchi Fries were much better at the restaurant- this time they arrived soggyand the portion was much smaller. I also removed one star because the gluten free options were very limited :( only 3 things tochoose from. Read more

This was a cool thai spot near midtown. We unfortunately were on our way out of the city but had the opportunity to experience... this venue. They were very accommodating with our luggage and we were seated almost immediately. The food came out so quicklyand everything was very flavorful and magnificent. We didn't really drink so I can't speak on them but from what I saw theylook creative and masterful in their presentation. Will definitely return at a later date. Read more

Amazing dinner. Totally unexpected. We enjoyed so many wonderful dishes this evening. We got a table in the back for five... people. The best dishes were: pad kee mao, Short rib massaman curry (made with sweet potatoes), Sambal spiced calamari,Vietnamese chicken wings, crispy pork belly Chinese broccoli, and Spare ribs with honey tamarind glaze. We would definitely goback! Read more

My rating is more of 3.5 stars for Obao. Made a reservation here on a Sunday night with friends to enjoy a nice dinner. This... location is definitely smaller than their other location. The restaurant wasn't extremely packed, but the service was still abit slow. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share as well as our own entrees. - Kimchi fries - tasted great, fries were stillcrispy - calamari - I would pass. The batter was soaked in sauce and there wasn't much flavor - spring rolls - pretty standard;can get the same taste and flavor for much cheaper at other places - chicken wings - small but tasted good - lobster pad thai -I enjoyed the pad thai; it was on the sweeter side, which I was not used to. There was a lot of flavor and the lobster waspretty big. (the lobster was MP, so it really depends on the day you go. Mine ended up to be $40) - Bun bo hue - not spicy atall and was still full of flavor By the end of our meal, everyone was so full. Overall, the food was decent, but also it wasn'tanything extremely special to justify the price. At the end of the day though, I still enjoyed the experience. Read more

We had Oysters and Pho (beef). Portions are just right, fresh, tasty and not expensive. Location is nice, outdoor seating... convenient. I love the consistency of the restaurant. Not the norm a city, where a restaurant outperforms one day andunderperformed the next. I am a lunch regular, and enjoy their soups. Read more
