Lamb Rendang - 8/10 This was one of the best dishes of the night. The lamb was super tender, moist and not gamey. I loved the... pickled chilies that were included. The roti helped offset the strong curry and lamb flavor Malaysian Fried Chicken - 8/10 Thiswas my other favorite dish of the night. The fried chicken was juicy and flavor, the bread was soft and fluffy and the saucesmatched the ingredients well! Korean Honey Butter Wings - 7/10 These wings were pretty standard but still good. They werecrispy with a tasty gochujang sauce Wonton Mee - 6/10 I would say this dish is definitely a skip. Nothing super special, thenoodles, pork belly and wontons were just ok Fried Pho - 5/10 Also another skip dish. The dish is called fried pho but thenoodles were chinese rice noodles rather than pho noodles, they were also cold, which I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to beor not Read more

Really loved this place. Asian fusion restaurant with staple dishes and a little bit of a twist. Cute location with great... service (waiter was great!!). Had edamame, lumpia, shrimp noodles, potatoes, chicken, fried pho along with some beers. Reallyloved the edamame as they cooked in a specific sauce as well as the Korean chicken was amazing. Another shout out to thelumpia.. Got recommendations from are waiter and approved. Will definitely have to come back! Read more

Probably the best option in the area, if you're going to a show at msg it's just round the corner. We had the restaurant week... meal which seemed good value. The cocktails were interesting. The only downside was the air conditioning was struggling onadmittedly a very hot day, but I was sweating towards the end of the meal. Service was delightful Read more

Our table by the kitchen was super hot as the AC wasnt strong and although the place was pretty empty, the manager was oppose to... us being moved and went back and forth with us regarding why he couldnt mess w his system and when we were finally allowed toseat at another table, we were sternly told we have only an hour and 15 mins to eat. It wasn’t a pleasant experience and wetold the manager that as he was more worried about potential clients rather than the clients already there. I know I won’t begoing back Read more

Had dinner at Piggyback with a group of Southeast Asians who grew up, lived, worked and traveled around the region before moving... to New York. We all agreed that Piggyback absolutely nailed every dish we ordered, showcasing the full culinary diversity andunique flavors of each country in the region. We ordered multiple starters and mains for our group, starting with the hamachicrudo and lumpia shanghai for our appetizers. Although hamachi crudo isn't really a Southeast Asian dish, the sambal-cilantroseasoning gave it a hint of the region's rich heritage in spices. The lumpia shanghai, a staple of Filipino parties, was crispyand savory, with the sweet chili sauce to give it the sweet-salty flavor profile beloved in the Philippines. We also got thebrussel sprouts side dish as an app, and this was also more of a fusion dish with a Western vegetable prepared roasted to becrunchy with an Asian-inspired chili lime dressing. The entrees were really where Piggyback impressed. We got the fried pho andthe Thai fried rice for a proper Southeast Asian carbohydrate portion of the meal, and ordered both the lamb rendang andMalaysian fried chicken large plates. The fried pho was a unique take on the typical Vietnamese dish. Instead of coming in afull bowl of broth as thin noodles, the pho was instead deep fried in rectangular rolls, with the soy marinated beef providingflavor and juiciness to the dish. The Thai fried rice was a perfect take on this fusion dish, with the basil and chili garnishcomplementing the egg fried rice with sausage. Both of the meat dishes were incredibly tender, with the meat falling off thebone and cooked just right. The Malaysian fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and succulently juicy on the inside, coming with a very inventive selection of fish sauce honey and sambal butter as sauces for dipping. The lamb rendang stands withthe best you can find in Indonesia, swimming in a very spicy curry sauce and fried roti prata to com Read more
