Great Bier list! Quick walk from the Theatre district. Reminds me of the lovely beer halls in Bavaria. Definitely on my... favorites list in a city with plenty of dining competition. Read more

This place was a BLAST to be at. We showed up with a group of over 30 and they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday night.... The Jäeger Schnitzel was absolutely incredible. The beer was cold, the pretzels were HUGE and the manager was super friendly. Iwould definitely go back in a heartbeat! Read more

Good experience at this German Beer Hall...great atmosphere to catch a game. The patrons were very hyped during the football... (american soccer) game that was showing while we were there. Very loud. Lots of longer style tables, both lower and bar-stoolleveled. Also some smaller round tables toward the front. There is also an outdoor seating (sidewalk) area currently. Beers(1/2 liter) are about $11-13. (Full liters are roughly twice the price). A bit pricey but not much more than other beer-servingplaces in Manhattan. Beer was a tad flat (2 out of the 3 we ordered). Didn't get any food, but lots of large pretzels goingout. Must be a popular item. Sausages too! Servers were very busy...very straight-to-the-point ordering. Read more

First, the bad: Not authentic German food and it took 30 minutes for it to arrived when the place only had about 10 people... ordering food (see photos). My wife and sister-in-law are German and I've live in Germany so that's my street cred review. Thepretzel arrived with our meals when I ordered it as an appetizer, but it was warm and tasted great. The cheese that came withthe pretzel was different than what you get in Germany and didn't match up well (I didn't like the hardness of the cheese). MyJager Schnitzel was overcooked and had way too many mushrooms on top (see photos). My wife refused to eat anymore of her JagerSchnitzel because of the lack of taste and also because she couldn't cut through it with her butter knife. My sister-in-law hadthe Black Forest cake and didn't like it because it tasted "different in a bad way." Now the good: The Jager gravy was tastyas well as the fries (barely warm). The cucumber salad was good and even my wife liked it. This American/German restaurantexperience in NYC forever lowered our expectations of eating out in German restaurants in America because we experience thistype of disappointment more often than not. For two 1/2L beers, two meals and a cake dessert it cost me $113 with tip. Read more

We stopped in here from a long day of exploring and did not know what to expect. The interior is really nice and feels like a... beer hall. The portions are really big and the food is amazing. We shared an order of their mini sausages and a pretzel, bothwere very good and flavorful. I chose the sausage mixed platter which comes with three different wursts, all were very good butI really enjoyed the veal sausages the most. The dish also came with sauerkraut, potato salad, and pickled cabbage which wasamazing! My wife got the beef goulash and she absolutely loved it. They also have a great selection of beers, I highlyrecommend! We will be planning to head back tomorrow evening for a late night beer and pretzel after a show. We definitely willbe telling others and about this place when they visit. Read more
