Wow we loved this place. Fast service. Great food. I had the brisket an rye with cheese fries. He had the Sarge's favorite. Two... different tables asked what he had and said they will get that next time. The cheesecake was outstanding! They have free refillshave Coke products. We also got this drink called the lendgendary egg cream drink. We had both chocolate and vanilla. Oh alsothe matzo ball soup was delicious. A NYC must. Can't wait to come back. Read more
This was my second time at Sarge?s Deli and while it was good this time, the first time was better. Maybe it?s what I ordered.... The matzoh ball soup was just broth and a matzoh ball, nothing else. Broth was good but the ball could have been fluffier.Pickles were great! As for the hot dogs, I didn?t realize that red onions are not in-fact raw red onions but instead onionscooked in a red sauce. Best corn beef in NYC. Pastrami sandwich is everything you ever wanted in a pastrami sandwich, with stuffed, juicy, smoky,... thinly-sliced meat. Matzo ball soup served in large bowl with sweet broth. The diner comes with extensive menu from breakfast tolunch to dinner. Small space but not hard to get seating. We had the pleasure of sharing a meal at Sarge?s. The person who tended to our table was so kind and pleasant it made our... evening that much more special. The food was so good and typical of a NYC delicatessen it added to the New York experience. Fromthe decor right out of a 70?s movie to the classic food items and the unforgettable service, this place is a staple for localsand for good reason. This place is A+. We will be back for sure.
