Came here for a recommendation that I had from instagram, I was so excited because the first time I came it was closed for a... private event. It was kinda busy but we got seated right away, the hostess was nice and overall everybody’s attitude wasreally good, congratulations on that, keep that good energy. The waiter gave us some recommendations so I took it, first I gotthe ceviche, I am a huge fan of ceviches and raw seafood preparations but honestly I think it was really overpriced for what itwas, I had max like 8pcs of red snapper and it was mostly tomatoes and olives, the ceviche tasted more like olive juice thanactual ceviche. Then we got the scampi mafaldine (their signature dish) and the octopus, I was literally joking with myboyfriend praying for the entrees to be good because the price was high. My mafaldine was tasteless and the octopus was kindagood in flavor but extremely greasy, I know it’s fried furro but there was SO MUCH oil on that dish. The service as Imentioned was friendly but really disorganized, they were not understaffed at all but we had like three different people takingour orders (not a problem for me) but it was kinda confusing, so much that at first someone got our order wrong (again, not abig deal for me) but as a hospitality industry worker I recommend the staff dividing sections and being on top of what’s goingon with your own tables! I don’t think I will be back because the food was honestly not good for me ???? neither the priceyou’re paying for it but I wish the best to the servers! We had an incredible date night at Scampi! The drinks were delicious, highly recommend the Quemadito if you like tequila drinks... and Tajin. Every dish from appetizer to dessert was delicious. We are big on seafood so we got the appetizers fluke, razorclams, mains langoustine, gémelli Nero (squid ink) pasta, CAPPELLETTI pasta and dessert meringa. If I had to pick a favorite, Iloved the squid ink pasta, it was the perfect level of delicious spicy. Then the dessert was awesome - it’s rare to find agood meringue and this one was perfect! Super relaxing ambient which was great for date nights. Came here on a Friday night and it was already super packed! You... basically have to shout to your other person across the table but still enjoyed the night. The appetizers were cauliflower andthe yellow tail, and the main was shrimp scampi (a must) and the sausage one which was so juicy. We got pretty full anddidn’t order dessert but the drinks (Pineapple Express and another mezcal drink) were so good!! Read more
