Excellent service, our waiter and the staff were very attentive and nice. Nothing fancy on the place, looks actually quite... cheap. The food mostly ok but i am pretty upset by the dessert where i felt the restaurant was making fun of me, making meunsure about the quality of the rest: we had a single strawberry. Ok it was really flavorful but it really felt like a joke. Read more

One word to describe this establishment-inconsistent. I have visited Azabu 4 times and ordered delivery once, which of course... would deem my rating as precise as one can get. It is such a shame, because I sincerely enjoy this restaurant and would evengive it a high 4 star on days the Head chef is working. On days he is not available or on vacation it is an absolute disasterservice wise and the food is almost a 2 star rating. Everything is Chewy, pale, horribly cut. When he is available everything ispristine. Buttery, fresh, delicious. Take a look at my depressing 150$ delivery order. My Otoro looks like it’s a phantom ofyesterday’s Tuna. Better to close your restaurant on days the head chef isn’t available then keep open and lose clients. Read more

Amazing restaurant! This is my first time to have Omakase, and it was a very pleasant experience I would say Omakase in Azabu is... a classic type. There’s nothing super original or creative, but I really love that when I want to eat great Japanesesushi The food was fantastic. Delicious, fresh, high quality and delicate. Ingredients are so fresh that you can taste theoriginal flavor of these seafood, and the chef is very professional. At the other side of the counter there were Japanesecustomers, and they seems to enjoy the food too Besides, the price I personally think is worth it. Definitely specialoccasion-wise. I compared several restaurants in NYC, the price in Azabu is like in the middle. We were quite full after wefinished. There were 2 starter, 1 sashimi set, 1 tasting, 1 choice of meat, 11 sushi, miso soup and 2 desserts. And mostimportantly the food was fantastic! Highly recommend to reserve to sit at sushi bar. You can not only see how the chef preparethe food, but also the chef will explain everything he serves to you. When we first step into the restaurant it looks like awestern bar so I was quite confused. After they knew we reserved a sushi bar seat, they led us to the basement and it changed toa woody Japanese sushi restaurant vibe immediately. The overall service was also very professional, friendly and flexible. Wepaid 22% tips eventually to show our appreciation (the highest rate they recommend when we paid) At the first time I reservedonline. There’s no counter seat option on the reservation platform, so I added on a note. However, when we arrived, they toldus the sushi bar was currently only available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (I recommend the restaurant to put that onwebsite). Fortunately they allowed us to change the date without any punishment. And on the other day we changed the date againbecause there was a thunderstorm, and they let us change again. For lots of omakase restaurants if you cancel close to the time, they Read more
