Small, unassuming place but serves delicious Indian food. The jackfruit biryani and Dhaba dal were the best of vegetarian... options. Highly recommended it! Read more

A tiny store front offers amazing flavors. Great sauces with chicken apps, 3 different naan and rotis. Bbiryani and saag came... out hot and flagrant, and heat one of the lamb dishes is for real native hot! Suggest getting the in store made mango lassi tocool off. Took a little time for dishes to come out in waves, but definitely worth it. Read more

I went in alone at lunch time and the place was completely empty. I was not discouraged. I went and got an Indian beer (which... was ok but not anything special) and the lamb lunch special. That comes with a small plate of lamb curry, small plate of dal, small plate of today's vegetable and rice and naan. Let's start with the good, the naan was on point, thin and crispy, yet alsoa bit chewy. I assume if you get a garlic naan it would be even better. I also really liked the dal, it's flavor was just what Iexpected and wanted. The vegetable was green beans and potatoes, they were ok not anything interesting. And the lamb curry wasgood, but for me it lacked a bit of a punch and not strong enough flavors, also I would like a bit more of the lamb curry. Finalthing about the food, it is served warm (maybe not enough), but because of the small plates it cools off really quickly. Onceyou finish all of that you are definitely not hungry, but I decided to also get the mango Laci. That might have been the bestthing, the mango and yogurt were pronounced and the consistentcy just thick enough. Read more

Best Indian food I have had in NYC, great authentic flavors that are close to what you get in India (North), large selection,... good portions, nice presentation, friendly staff and decent prices. They have a couple of vegan options too. We went as a largegroup (mostly non-indian) and tried over 20 menu items and we loved about 80% of them and the remaining were still decent. EvenIndian food skeptics loved it. Except for the spicy dishes, most of them were easy to handle spice wise. Our favorite disheswere appetizers:Veeray di ghobi, lamb seekh kebab, bhel puri. Main course: paneer makhani, chicken korma and Ludhianavi lambcurry. Dessert: Gulab jamun (one of the best I have ever had) Read more

Decent Indian food, but nothing to call home about. For the price and the hype I expected higher quality. Friendly service.
